Calendar Sneak Peek!

So nice to be in my home studio after being away for a few weeks.  I finished my 2015 Calendar today.  Want a sneak peek?  It is called HAIKU and has Haiku poems and asian inspired artwork.

I heard and loved this quotation way back in November but I have been struggling about how to illustrate it.   At first I thought about doing a little family holding hands but this image seems to represent world and love, all at the same time.  Have a great week!

Connected To My Soul

Yesterday I was looking through a stack of my old calligraphy.  I came across this saying and it was just a perfect thought for some things I have been going through lately, people thinking that they need to "fix" me.   Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could see everyone as beautiful and whole and perfect, and totally connected to our souls?

Thinking Spring

I have been thinking of Spring and Weddings this week so I thought I would work on some new Wedding cards.  The green one uses some beautiful May Arts Ribbon with small, little delicate flowers and green leaves on a green and cream background with, of course, my calligraphy.  The middle one is embossed and uses a layer of lace and ribbons and a pretty paper flower.  The one on the right has a sparkly bouquet made out of daisies and rhinestones!

Playing With Tags!

Sometimes I just feel like playing.  I know most people think that my job is all play but although I love, love, love the designing of new pieces, I don’t always love production.  And much of my job is production of pieces to sell.  Today and yesterday I just felt like playing.  So I purchased a tag book from The Mad Scrapper in Issaquah, Washington and just had creative fun putting it together.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Valentine Cards

This week in the studio I have been making Valentine’s.  This is always such a favorite time of the year for me.  I love making love cards with pretty ribbon, hearts and papers.  I usually have ribbon, hearts, flowers, and supplies all over the place and somehow the card magically appears.  Pure play!  Until next time, have a great week.
